About Yala:

Yala is a native Bitcoin liquidity protocol that channels BTC into yield opportunities across DeFi and RWAs. Bitcoin holders unlock capital through self-custodial, liquidation-free borrowing by minting $YU, a BTC-backed liquidity asset. In this process, they pay a stability fee directly to $YU depositors, effectively exchanging BTC-backed exposure for portable, capital-efficient liquidity and access to yield without giving up ownership. Yala’s SmartVault module manages system risk and ensures efficient yield distribution.

Your Role:

  • Design and implement high-performance Solana programs using Rust, focusing on security, computational efficiency, and account model optimization
  • Develop and maintain core protocol infrastructure, including custom SPL tokens, cross-program invocation patterns, and advanced account management
  • Implement secure price Oracle integrations and optimize transaction processing for MEV resistance
  • Drive technical decisions around program architecture, state management, and cross-program composition
  • Mentor other engineers on Solana development best practices and security patterns

What We Look For:

  • Deep expertise in Rust and a strong understanding of Solana's programming model
  • 4+ years of systems programming experience, with significant time spent on Solana development
  • Strong grasp of Solana's account model, PDAs, CPIs, and transaction processing pipeline
  • Experience optimizing programs for Solana's parallel execution engine and computing budget
  • Proven track record building production DeFi protocols on Solana
  • Deep understanding of MEV, oracle designs, and DeFi security considerations
Yala is an equal opportunity employer.
