The Role: DevRel Engineer

As a DevRel Engineer at the Wormhole Foundation, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption and growth of our multichain products among developers. As part of a growing DevRel team, you are expected to be its most technically proficient member. Your work will be focused around writing code examples, exploring novel use cases and integrations, and documenting these efforts. You will also be expected to contribute to our technical docs, support various developer outreach programs and contribute to the overall DevRel strategy. The work of the DevRel Engineer touches the broader developer community as well as our closest partners and integrators.

You will be responsible for:

• Act as a liaison between the developer community and the Wormhole core contributors
• Create code example content: Write code examples, including accompanying copy describing the idea, features, usage and security considerations
• Assist with protocol integrations: Answering questions in discord/telegram/slack, writing example code, implementing difficult features on integrators behalf
• Develop and maintain technical documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including documenting new features and improving existing documentation
• Collaborate with partners and ecosystem teams to work on joint projects,
• Support developer outreach activities like hackathons, education programs and other events
• Contribute to the overall Developer Relations strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and developer needs

Who you are:

• Proven experience as a DevRel Engineer or similar role on a top team in crypto
• Highly technical, ideally with a strong understanding of multichain protocols and DeFi
• Domain expertise in one or multiple blockchain platforms (e.g. EVM, SVM, Moove, etc..)
• Passion for engaging with developers and building developer communities
• You enjoy and have experience of working proactively across a range of matters and projects in a fast paced and unstructured environment
• You have excellent communication skills and have experience of developing effective working relationships at senior levels across all functions
• Highly motivated, creative, and results-driven self-starter with a passion for crypto
• Excited to work in a results-driven, high agency, and high ownership environment
• Ideally, based in the Americas or European time zones.
