The Role: Global Events Lead

As our Global Events Lead, you will lead the planning and execution of Wormhole Foundation's global events, playing a crucial role in our overall marketing strategy. This position will require you to tap into the global developer community, enhancing engagement and driving the adoption of our blockchain solutions. While our events have a global reach, you will collaborate closely with our diverse teams across various regions, including a significant focus on the APAC region. The ideal candidate will be web3-native and have extensive experience planning and executing events within the crypto ecosystem.

What you'll be doing:

• Spearhead the strategy and execution of global events, focusing on developer engagement and platform adoption.

• Manage all facets of event production, including content creation, speaker coordination, program development, design, AV, vendor relations, logistics, communications, promotions, and more.

• Take charge of flagship events and conferences, ensuring they align with Wormhole Foundation's vision and goals.

• Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships across the organization, including with marketing, design, media, product, finance, and legal teams.

• Work closely with the marketing team to enhance event impact, assess success metrics, and track ROI.

• Coordinate with legal and finance departments on contracts, purchase orders, and other administrative tasks.

Who you are:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in event management, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience engaging with developer communities.

• A track record of successful events that have delivered significant business impact.

• Familiarity with the crypto and blockchain industry is highly desirable.

• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

• Experience in demand generation and skilled in using marketing and event technologies (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, Pardot, Swoogo, Splash).

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellence.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proactive and creative problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.

• Willingness to travel internationally for events.

• Entrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality.

• Intensity, passion for what you do, and a strong sense of urgency

• Highly motivated, creative, and results-driven self-starter with a passion for crypto and developer engagement.

• Enjoy working remotely with a talented global team and ideally based in the Americas or European time zones.
