Job Summary:

Switchboard, a fully permissionless blockchain oracle protocol, is seeking a skilled Blockchain Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on optimizing in-house deployment workflows and regression testing frameworks. Your expertise will also be crucial in enhancing our codified metrics, observability, and paging rotation practices, accommodating both technical and non-technical team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deployment Workflow Optimization:
  • Develop and refine in-house deployment workflows for blockchain applications.
  • Optimize and maintain regression testing frameworks to ensure reliability and performance.
• Metrics and Observability:
  • Establish and codify key performance metrics for monitoring blockchain infrastructure.
  • Enhance observability tools and practices, making them accessible to the entire team, including non-technical members.
  • Implement and manage a rotation system for on-call paging, ensuring effective incident response.
• Infrastructure Management:
  • Design and maintain robust blockchain infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, GCP, and Azure.
  • Monitor system health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role, preferably with a focus on blockchain technology.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with programming in Rust and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of blockchain protocols and infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
