About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build high-performance REST APIs in Rust. This is not a management role, but candidates with system-wide thinking and technical mentorship experience are welcome. The role can flex between a purely hands-on builder or a backend architect who still codes regularly. EU Friendly timezone preferred.

What you will be doing

• Design and build high performance REST APIS

• own key backend services,

• integrate with external systems,

• contribute to architectural decisions as we scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend experience building production-grade APIs

• Strong experience with Rust, or deep systems background in Go or C++

• Proven experience designing and maintaining high-throughput services

• Strong understanding of REST design, data flows, and system boundaries

• PostgreSQL experience (schema design, performance tuning)

• Exposure to caching (Redis), Docker, and AWS or similar infra
  

Nice to Have

• Architectural design experience across multiple services

• Async Rust (Axum or similar), Terraform, DataDog

• Fintech or transaction-heavy product experience

• Startup or small-team experience

• Technical mentoring or setting backend engineering standards
