About Rome Protocol

Rome Protocol is developing a suite of services on Solana for L2s. One key service is a shared sequencer on Solana for L2s, among others. These shared sequencers and services address critical challenges for Ethereum’s rollup-centric future. Solana's network, known for its security, decentralization, and high throughput, provides an optimal solution to these problems.

  • Team Structure: We are a small team, with approximately half of our members being technical.
  • Remote Work: Our team is mostly remote, spread across the US, Europe, and Asia. We also have office in Westlake village, CA for those who prefer in-office work.
  • Language: English proficiency is essential, as our team communicates internally and with external developers in English.
  • Adaptability: Operating in the rapidly evolving Rollups, interoperability ecosystem, we function like a startup and must adapt to meet market demands. Successful candidates will be flexible problem solvers who can quickly respond to changing circumstances.
  • Engagement: Our success relies on external developers using our Sequencer/DA and other services and building applications. Strong candidates will be able to engage in intelligent conversations with technically-minded users and address their inquiries.
  • Compensation: We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible employees may participate in Rome Protocol's employee incentive program, which includes token allocations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Growth Strategies: Develop and execute growth strategies for Rome Protocol, including identifying opportunities to attract new users, developers, and protocols. Utilize marketing, educational activities, and communications to foster ecosystem growth.

  • User Support: Provide support to Rome Protocol users and address their questions across various communication channels such as Discord, Twitter, and Telegram.

Required Skills:

  • Passion for Interoperability: A solid understanding of rollup landscape and it's challenges. While you don't need to be an expert in all technical details, you should have an intermediate-level understanding to effectively communicate with our developers and users.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects and operations across various functions, from engineering to communications. Given the fast-paced nature of the crypto industry, it is crucial to stay on top of developments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills. Responding to inquiries and producing blogs, tweets, and other written content for the community are key aspects of the role. Additionally, intermediate knowledge of graphic design applications will be helpful for creating visual content.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of Excel to create financial models is required.
  • Leadership Qualities: Leadership qualities and a proactive approach, with experience managing projects or other planning-related duties. As a fast-paced remote team operating globally, top-down direction may not always be available. We expect you to take the initiative and make things happen.
