As a Customer Integrations Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting customers throughout their integration journey. From gathering requirements and delivering tailored solutions to advocating for our platform, you’ll be a champion for developers building with Rome Protocol.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Integrations
- Collaborate with customers to understand their integration needs and deliver customized technical solutions.
- Provide end-to-end support during the integration process, ensuring seamless implementation and system operability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues while working closely with the engineering team.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including integration guides, best practices, and architecture overviews.
- Develop expertise in Ethereum rollup technologies (Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, zkSync) for deployment, operation, debugging, and improvement.
Developer Advocacy
- Passionately grow and empower the Rome community, enabling developers to build innovative, cross-chain applications.
- Build and maintain example applications demonstrating the capabilities of Rome SDK, Rome Interop, and Rome Shared Sequencer, including:
- Setting up Layer 2 solutions using Rome.
- Deploying smart contracts.
- Writing test arbitrage scripts.
- Developing interoperable applications.
- Design and run open-source campaigns, such as soliciting examples from end-users via GitHub templates (e.g., GitHub Externship-style programs).
- Conduct competitive analyses to ensure Rome Protocol leads with thoughtful, engaging, and innovative advocacy efforts.
Collaboration
- Partner with the engineering, product, and developer relations teams to improve developer experiences and provide actionable feedback.
- Foster deep, authentic relationships with developers and customers.
- Occasionally travel for team meetings and developer events.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Solidity and Rust programming languages.
- Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems, especially Solana and Ethereum.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Shared Sequencers and Rollups.
- RaaS, L2 solutions, zkEVMs, and interoperability between chains.
- Interoperability and atomicity in cross-chain transactions.
Communication
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse developer audiences.

- Passion for engaging and empowering developers.
- Ability to build lasting relationships within the developer ecosystem and inspire community contributions.
