About Pocket Protector:
Pocket Protector is a social trading platform backed by Electric Capital and Dragonfly that enables traders to start their own on-chain hedge fund, get capital, and amplify their gains. Our social features also help people find, diligence, and copy top profitable traders — while avoiding toxic traders and scammers. Our top traders are making $100K + per month in tips from their followers and their followers are 90% less likely to wipe out.
Our founding team spent 5+ years in product and engineering roles during the early days of Facebook/Amazon, then raised a combined $25M+ from top web2 VCs including Founder’s Fund, Greylock, and Y-Combinator. All 3 startups we founded were acquired by a combination of private equity, startups, and big tech. We are also seasoned liquid token investors as first money in over half a dozen $1B+ crypto projects and ran a hedge fund in the space that consistently outperformed BTC across multiple cycles since 2017.
Our vision is to build a crypto exchange powered by your existing friends and group chats. We believe that discovering and sharing alpha is inherently social. By connecting traders with each other, enforcing trust through reputation, and creating alignment through incentive design, we hope to create a new trading experience that is safer more profitable.
We are looking for a growth manager with network in Solana and Ethereum on-chain trading (memecoins, perpetuals). If you have a passion for trading, memes, and hanging out in the trenches — we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Strategy: work closely with the Chief Product Officer to build and refine Pocket Protector’s growth strategy to acquire and retain trading volume
Run socials: develop awareness marketing and manage Pocket Protector’s social accounts (Twitter, Telegram, and eventually Discord)
Business development: source, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships to acquire high volume traders.
Whale recruitment: recruit large size lead traders and copy traders for Pocket Protector’s copy trading product
Monitoring: Establish KPIs and utilize analytics tools to measure effectiveness of growth initiatives
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in growth, business development, and/or affiliate in the crypto trading category, preferably at a scaled consumer DeFi, trading, or exchange product
Deep network in trading, alpha caller, and “cabal” Telegram/Discord chats, preferably on Solana
