At Nitro Labs, we're innovating at the intersection of monolithic and modular infrastructure to integrate the Solana Virtual Machine with rollup technology. Role Overview:

We’re searching for Founding Engineers with deep expertise in backend development and infrastructure systems, particularly with the Solana Virtual Machine, data availability layers, and rollup technology. As one of our early technical leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product's architecture, making key technical decisions, and building the future of decentralized applications on the Solana blockchain.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Drive, design, and implement the technical vision and architecture of rollup technology.
  2. Hands-on Development: Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code for application teams to build on.
  3. Infrastructure Management: Set up, manage, and optimize Solana node infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with founders and other team members to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  5. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the Solana ecosystem and integrate relevant innovations into our products.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in Rust, Golang, C, or other relevant languages.
  2. Problem Solving: Ability to tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
  3. Cloud Management: Expertise working with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, logging and telemetry systems.
  4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  5. Previous Work: 3+ years of experience with distributed systems, infrastructure software, or blockchain development.

Nice to Haves:

  1. Deep Solana Expertise: Proven experience in developing applications on the Solana blockchain, with a strong understanding of its architecture, programs, and the SPL token standard.
  2. Hacker Mentality: History of hustling, building side projects, and always shipping.
  3. Location: Slight preference for candidates who are based in the Bay Area or are willing to relocate but happy to connect with talented engineers around the world!

Benefits:

The salary for US-based candidates will be determined through an interview process or work trial, starting at $150K USD base + additional equity. Healthcare and other benefits will also be provided.
