The Opportunity

As our DevOps Lead, you’ll assume a hands-on role in designing, building, and maintaining the production infrastructure that powers our rapidly-growing DeFi trading platform. You’ll be responsible for optimizing developer velocity, ensuring platform reliability, and fostering a security-first culture. What You’ll Be Doing

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and ensure rapid deployment of secure, high-quality code.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee cloud and on-premise infrastructure operations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all systems.
• Automation & Monitoring: Establish robust observability, logging, and alerting frameworks that detect issues early and reduce mean time to resolution.
• Collaboration & Enablement: Work with Moonshot team to ensure smooth feature rollouts and a frictionless user experience.
• Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for DevSecOps to ensure compliance with industry standards and protect against security threats.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve system outages or performance issues while implementing preventative measures.
• Blockchain Infrastructure: Optimize the performance of blockchain nodes and validators to support staking services and DeFi protocols.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current processes and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Experience: 4+ years in DevOps/SRE roles (preferably at high-growth Web2 startups).
• Security Mindset: Familiarity with security frameworks, encryption, and compliance standards relevant to blockchain/crypto environments.
• Problem-Solver: You design and implement infrastructure solutions that are both robust and cost-effective.
• Passion for DeFi: Strong interest or experience in crypto/blockchain. You’re keen to solve the unique scalability and security challenges of on-chain products.

Nice to haves:

• 2-4 years experience working in a high security and/or highly regulated industry.
• You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
• You have experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum etc.)
• Expertise in designing and implementing robust security architectures and protocols.

• Frontend: Flutter (iOS + Android)
• Backend: Go, Postgres, Redis
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Docker, Terraform
• On-Chain: Solana (with plans to explore Base, L2s, additional blockchains)

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Moonshot also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
