Grass is a network sharing application that allows users to share their unused bandwidth. Effectively, this is a residential proxy network that directly rewards individual residential IPs for the bandwidth they provide. Grass will route traffic equitably among its network and meter the amount of data that each node provides to fairly distribute rewards.
In non-technical terms: Grass unlocks everyone's ability to earn rewards by simply sharing their unused internet bandwidth on personal devices (laptops, smartphones).

The Role.
We are seeking a Storage Engineer to build, optimize, and scale our storage infrastructure. You will join a small, high-performing team to design and implement storage solutions that support our rapidly growing data needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our storage systems, directly contributing to our mission of democratizing AI.
Who You Are.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with storage systems such as AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage.
- Proficiency in storage protocols (NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel) and experience configuring storage networks.
- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for large-scale data storage.
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to manage storage resources.
- Solid understanding of distributed storage architectures, including RAID, SAN, and NAS configurations.
- Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing storage performance and capacity.
- Familiarity with storage security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for addressing storage issues and ensuring data integrity.
- Knowledge of containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their storage integration.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Be Doing.
- Designing, implementing, and managing scalable storage solutions to support large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Developing strategies for data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance and capacity of storage systems to meet evolving data needs.
- Automating the deployment and configuration of storage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and developers to ensure efficient data storage and accessibility.
- Implementing storage security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting storage-related issues and optimizing the performance of storage networks and systems.
- Managing storage integrations in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) to support scalable infrastructure.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in storage technologies, protocols, and best practices.
