Your Role:

Drift Protocol is developing an advanced perpetual futures protocol featuring a virtual AMM.

This project is backed by leading funds and angel investors in the space and is supported by the Solana and Serum Foundation. Drift is built by traders and developers from traditional and crypto-native hedge funds.

We are looking for a Trading Systems Engineer to be a core member of our engineering team, to build and maintain core infrastructures for off-chain bots that ensure maximal price efficiency on Drift's platform. You’ll have an opportunity to work across our entire Solana stack on cutting-edge technology that revolutionises the way we trade digital assets.

Your Role:

• Ensure smooth operation of trading technologies, software deployment and configuration processes for our DeFi protocol
• Ensure 24/7 runtime for Drift's exchange arbitrage bots, keeping prices on our platforms in line with oracle prices
• Develop and optimise algorithmic arbitrage trading strategies to ensure price efficiency on Drift protocol

Requirements:

• Experience managing day-to-day operations of software infrastructure and maintenance of trading systems
• Previous experience working in the trading industry supporting electronic trading systems
• Previous script development experience
• Experience with relational databases
• Understanding of and experience building basis and arbitrage strategies
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• High level of ownership and accountability, reliability, and strong follow through
• Ability to handle pressure and time constraints with composure

Nice to Haves:

• Experience trading or building bots that trade against DeFi protocols
• Quantitative degree in Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or related qualitative field
• 3+ years of experience with building and maintaining algorithmic trading systems and/or trading infrastructure
