experienced Technical Administrator to ensure compliance, and drive sustainable growth,
with a focus in the European region.
Key Responsibilities:
Position Overview: The Technical Administrator is responsible for
ensuring the operational integrity, compliance, and security for our
system. This role requires a deep understanding of the technology
underpinning the Exchange, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and
collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data
integrity and system availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the continuous collection, retention, and synchronization of transaction data, on-chain data, and system log data.
- Ensure compliance with data retention policies, maintaining logs.
- Implement and monitor hosting requirements, as required by the MFSA.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes, ensuring sound practices in asset, configuration, change, risk, and information security management.
- Oversee incident and problem management, ensuring timely identification, resolution,and documentation of issues.
- Conduct regular system audits, security tests, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Ensure accurate time synchronization across all system components, traceable to a reliable time source.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, architectural blueprints, asset inventories, and incident logs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring timely response to data requests and compliance audits.
- Oversee the creation and storage of daily transaction reports, ensuring adherence to naming conventions and data extraction protocols.
- Stay informed of regulatory updates and technological advancements, incorporating changes into system operations.
- Ensure Information Security and Privacy and Data Protection requirements are adhered.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in technology administration, system management, information security and data protection or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of IT security practices, data management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of hosting environments, system architecture, and access control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with the Virtual Financial Assets (VFA) Rulebook and related regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to system monitoring and incident response.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Must be a resident of Malta.
- Good understanding of MICAR, GDPR, DOR, etc. are desired.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, IAPP), Privacy and Blockchain.
- Experience with ISO/IEC 27001 compliance.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and virtual financial assets.
