Position Overview

You'll work closely with our talented engineering team to develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code automation supporting the critical systems that power Cube. Your primary focus will be on building Ansible and Terraform automation for all the things. If you're an experienced DevOps engineer interested in tackling complex and multi-faceted problems and are eager to contribute to a revolutionary digital asset platform, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure as Code: Collaborate with our engineering team to design, develop, and optimize our infrastructure provisioning and application deployment automation with Ansible and Terraform
  2. Monitoring: Create and optimize dashboards, monitors, alerts, and monitoring integrations to enhance the visibility of our platform health and performance characteristics
  3. Security and Reliability: Identify opportunities, propose, and implement automated solutions to enhance the reliability, resiliency, and security of our platform
  4. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership within your domain, guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers. Foster a culture of excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  5. Code Review and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ansible and Terraform code. Participate in code reviews and testing to maintain code quality and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  7. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

Experience: 8+ years of DevOps experience.

Technical Skills:Proficiency in creating custom Ansible roles from scratch, and working with complex inventory, variable structures, and Jinja2 templating

  • Deep expertise in creating custom Ansible roles from scratch, and working with complex inventory, variable structures, and Jinja2 templating
  • Deep expertise in creating custom Terraform modules
  • Deep expertise supporting Linux servers in large, high security, highly available environments
  • Deep expertise with Linux security and performance optimization best practices and CIS security compliance
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards, monitors, and alerts with DataDog or similar monitoring platforms. Experience creating log ingest pipelines with multiple parsers.
  • Experience supporting both bare-metal COLO and cloud based environments
  • Experience with secrets management systems such as Hashicorp Vault, 1Password, and YubiKey
  • Experience with common system administration scripting languages such as bash and Python

Independent Contributor: Track record of driving complex projects and delivering high-quality solutions.

Leadership Skills: A track record of technical leadership, guiding teams, and influencing technical decisions is a plus

Trading and Blockchain Experience: While not mandatory, any experience or understanding of trading platforms and blockchain technology is a significant plus.

Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
