The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Risk & Card Scheme Manager to take ownership of the card acquiring and scheme compliance function at Coinflow. This is a highly strategic role for someone who can bridge external relationships with acquiring banks and card networks, while internally guiding our underwriting and onboarding teams with best-in-class risk and compliance practices.

You’ll be the internal expert on card scheme rules, issuer/acquirer dynamics, and onboarding strategy — ensuring we operate with precision while enabling scale.

Your Impact

• Own and manage relationships with acquiring banks, card networks (Visa, Mastercard), and relevant scheme stakeholders
• Act as our internal authority on card scheme rules and payment network requirements — interpreting obligations and translating them into actionable policies and procedures
• Provide day-to-day guidance to the underwriting and merchant onboarding teams, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, compliance mandates, and commercial strategy
• Develop and continuously refine our underwriting frameworks, KYB/KYC processes, and merchant monitoring tools in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Lead risk assessments on prospective merchants, especially in high-risk verticals, and make nuanced decisions balancing growth and compliance
• Proactively identify emerging risks, compliance challenges, and opportunities for process improvement across the portfolio
• Support external audits and regulatory inquiries in collaboration with legal and compliance
• Enable the business with education, documentation, and ongoing training related to card scheme compliance, acquiring risk, and merchant onboarding
• Represent Coinflow in conversations with financial partners and serve as a thought leader internally on all things acquiring and scheme-related

What We’re Looking ForMinimum Requirements

· 5+ years of experience in card acquiring, scheme compliance, or payment risk at a fintech, acquirer, processor, or card network

· Deep knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and other major card scheme rules and operational guidelines

· Strong track record managing acquiring relationships and navigating scheme compliance

· Experience building or overseeing merchant onboarding and underwriting processes

· Practical understanding of KYB/KYC, brand monitoring, and high-risk merchant categories

· Confident communicator with the ability to translate complexity into clarity for internal teams

· Proven ability to work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, product, and go-to-market teams

· Bonus: exposure to blockchain-based payments, stablecoins, or alternative settlement rails
