The role will work closely with our leadership team to understand the company-level objectives. With that understanding, you will be focused on building processes and procedures, while analyzing data. The ideal candidate will collaborate well with others, drive data-driven decisions, and synthesize complex business drivers. LOCATION:Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid) Experience„ 8+ years of experience at either a Big 4 public accounting firm or a minimum of 5+ years in a revenue accounting role at a high-growth startup.„ Expert level experience in financial modeling.„ Ability to understand and identify key trends and levers that drive the business.„ Experience scaling and leading a small team.„ Strong knowledge of US GAAP, primarily revenue recognition.„ Sales tax reporting experience.„ Ability to research accounting guidance and simplify complex situations.„ Experience within the sports industry, NFT and/or crypto industry „ Experience In a Startup Hyper-growth Company Preferred„ Tech Savvy! QuickBooks Online; knowledge of GSuite EducationBachelor’s in accounting, finance, economics or related discipline.MBA preferred Reports ToCampus Legends CFO Essential Duties And Responsibilities„ Initially perform and then lead and direct all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, G/L, treasury, payroll, royalty accounting and financial close processes.„ Own accurate and timely monthly management financial reporting which include key metrics and variance reporting.„ Structure, build and maintain budgeting and forecasting models, including scenario planning models to assist in strategic decision making.„ Develop key metrics to support hiring, scale and profitability goals; develop dashboards and processes to track and inform business performance to guide senior management team, including actionable insights, as well as risks and opportunities.„ Coordinate with the Business Development, Licensing, and Legal teams to understand the contractual obligations under agreements with partners, licensors, and licensees, and implement necessary processes to execute.„ Managing the Company’s royalty accounting and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal & external reporting requirements for all collegiate partners, athletes and developed partnerships.„ Monitor and implement internal controls as necessary to ensure accurate reporting, safeguarding assets and identification of risks.„ Build and continuously streamline accounting functions and operations.„ Support senior leadership team on ad hoc projects and analysis.„ Oversee financial audits and audits by partners and licensors, providing meaningful support and professional communication with internal and external parties.„ Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors.„ Understand and identify current key trends in the NFT market.„ Analyze the cost of goods sold and organizational costs structures.
