We are looking for a highly skilled and self-directed Senior DevOps Engineer to build, manage, and optimize the infrastructure that powers our innovative social platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our AWS-based infrastructure. You will work closely with our backend and frontend engineers to create a seamless and efficient development and deployment pipeline. You are comfortable working in a flat organization, taking ownership, and implementing best practices across the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage our AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, RDS, Redis, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Ensure the security of our infrastructure and applications.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance and cost.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Work closely with development teams to support their infrastructure needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of our platform.
  • Understand the end-to-end flow of our application, from frontend to infrastructure.
  • Think customer-centrically, ensuring infrastructure supports a seamless user experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, RDS, Redis, etc.).
  • Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus, but not strictly required given your current architecture).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPCs, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with blockchain infrastructure.
  • AWS certifications.
Based is an equal opportunity employer.
